Other Genealogy Tools
While there are various tools that will help you research our ancestors well, there are also a lot of tools that can help you record and display the information that you have in an orderly manner. While some of them are genealogy software products that can help you record the information online, there are others that help in creating charts, recording dates and identifying languages as well.
Some of the tools that people have used successfully include Clooz, Deep Mapper, Deep Platter, Family Reunion organizer, and more. Web based tools include ancestory.com, Family Pursuit, PedigreeSoft, SharedTree and We Relate. There are also some software that you can download like Family Tree Maker, RootsMagic and The Master Genealogist.
There are also a large number of resources where you can find charts and family tree options that you can download from the Internet. These include decorative charts that can be completed, laminated and mounted on a frame to be displayed too. But for the family chart to be decorative and worthy of display you may also need some experience in creating calligraphy.
Sometimes if you have really been able to dig deep and found documents of olden days, you may need some knowledge about paleography so that you can read some old handwriting and decipher the old script.
There are also dates and calendar tools that will help you in ensuring that you are able to decode the date perfectly despite the calendars being of a different nature like the Hebrew calendar or the French Republican Calendar.
